About Urban Gallery

In 2012 life partners Calvin Hambrook and artist/curator Allen Shugar founded URBAN GALLERY with a mandate to provide a state of the art non-commission gallery space for emerging and mid-career artists. The gallery opened in historic Corktown on Queen Street East, and has welcomed countless artists, sculptors, and photographers. Always a leader in artistic social change Urban Gallery has hosted annual exhibitions featuring first-year fine art students from Toronto's CENTENNIAL COLLEGE, as well as for the city-wide CONTACT PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL and TORONTO PRIDE.
