December 2013 to January 2014
For his first solo month-long exhibition, artist Bantugan pays homage to the many male artists he has met in his first two years in Toronto, constructing the artistic environment of Toronto that has inspired his own passion to create.
The portraits, all shot in natural light, reveal his gaze as an artist looking at other artists -the male gaze turned to the subject and its community as objects.
